The St. Thomas More Library has a variety of resources available including approximately 43,000 volumes of fiction and non-fiction, reference and circulating titles. Additionally, there are 1,500 DVD and 12,000 classical music CDs in the collection. A somewhat specialized monastic library is available with 25,000 more volumes. There are 85 magazine subscriptions on display with back files in electronic, film and fiche format. The electronic resources include JSTOR, U.S. History Resource Center, ProQuest magazine and academic journal resources and the N.Y. Times Historical Newpspapers Resource. We provide to the Oxford English Dictionary, Dictionary of American Biography, Dictionary of National Biography, electronic encyclopedias and additional on-line resources.Our catalog is on-line and available on this site. The library director teaches library orientation classes and she and the other library staff provide reference and interlibray loan services for the Portsmouth Abbey School community.
